On Thursday, April 16th, the City of Valencia, its Community Centre for Social Action and the ANCV (National Agency for holiday vouchers ) presented the operation “Elderlies on Holidays”, which aims at facilitating holiday departures for pensioners over 60 years old.
Last December, the City signed an agreement with the ANCV. The objective is to favour the access to holidays for everyone.
“Elderlies on holidays”: a first experimental holiday departure will take place on 2015, June 8th
Following the signature of an agreement between the ANCV and the city of Valencia, a first experimental holiday departure has been scheduled from the 8th to the 12th of June, 2015 by the City and the CCAS, with Vacanciel’s support.
It will include about 150 elderly people and will take place over 5 days and 4 nights at St Pierre-La-Mer, a seaside resort of Languedoc-Roussillon located at the edge of the Mediterranean Sea, near Narbonne-Plage and 293 km away from Valencia.
An all-inclusive program!
The program set up by the ANCV includes bus rides, accommodation, the full board, excursions, animations and daily activities.
70 double rooms and 10 single rooms will be at the disposal of the pensioners.
For a non-taxable person the price rate is €200; for taxable people, it will be €350.
The first price rate takes into account the ANCV financial help of €150, which is granted if the last income tax notice represents a net income tax lower or equal to €61 before correction.
The definitive registrations to this first trip will take place from 11th until 13th of May and from the 18th until the 29th of May on CCAS convening. At the end of the trip, the city of Valencia and the CCAS will proceed to an evaluation of the service in order to modify or display the initiative, with a possibility of second departure at the end of 2015.
“I am delighted to be able to propose this new offer to Valencia’s elderlies. This program is a real tool for the social policy which we display for our elderlies. This program allows to break the solitude and the isolation while taking advantage of holiday’s pleasure. It is a good way to ally pleasure and prevention!”, Valencia’s mayor Nicolas Daragon commented.
