The second Silver Day Normandy will take place on Thursday October 13th ; the event is dedicated to the Silver economy and organised by Normandie’s Chambers of commerce and industry, as well as the region’s development agency.

The annual meeting is aimed at Silver Economy players and project leaders, with one goal in mind : foster networking and exchanges about the sector’s opportunities. Home services will feature among discussed topics, along with e-health, housing, food, mobility and tourism.

Normandy, a Silver economy pioneer

The French “Silver region” administrative system was launched in 2014, with two goals : involving provinces in the ageing adaptation process, identifying players and implementing nation-wide cooperation on Silver economy issues. Normandy was the first “Silver region” launched in France. Since 2014, the region has been implementing various initiatives to structure and promote the Silver economy.

It all began with the creation of a regional industry committee and thematic working groups. A “Silver economy pack” was also launched and the Region was identified as a “experimentation hub”. Silver Day is an annual event allowing different players to meet, and is thus very much part of the Region’s silver economy momentum.

Silver Day Normandy: one event, two phases

The Silver economy dedicated 13th of October will be divided into two phases. The following themes will be discussed in the morning:

  • The impact of the French “ASV” (adapting society to ageing) law on the market
  • Senior marketing strategy
  • Product and service design
  • Innovation

At the end of the morning, Consulting firm Adjuvance will draw up seniors’ social and psychological profiles.

The afternoon will be dedicated to tailored BtoB meetings between various Silver economy players (companies, associations, health and social health players, local communities), to foster new partnerships, exchanges, and joint projects.

Meanwhile, leaders of senior citizen residence “Les Jardins de Diana” will present their human-based approach.
