Tao Porchon-Lynch explains to athleta.net: “When I started yoga in 1926, “girls didn’t do yoga.” I said, “If boys can do it, I can do it!” Years later, I convinced BKS Iyengar to start teaching women. Now, there are many more women who practice than men – though I love to see men in my classes.”
“Anything is possible. Nothing is impossible. When you wake up every morning say, ‘this is going to be the best day of my life’. And it will be”.
Tao has over 70 years of yoga practice and more than 45 years of teaching yoga students
