Camping with My Grandparents
Summary of the application :
Camping with My Grandparents is an intergenerational summer programme run by Amavir. For one week, children aged 6-12, mainly residents’ grandchildren and employees’ children, share activities with older adults living in care homes.
The initiative promotes active ageing, reduces loneliness, strengthens family bonds and fosters mutual learning, respect and social inclusion across generations.
