About this workshop :
This discussion explores how various cultures and traditions around the world influence our perception of ageing and the functioning of retirement homes.
Practices and attitudes towards ageing are highly diverse across different cultures. How do traditions influence elderly care in Asia ? What role does culture play in the approach to old age in Europe or Africa ? How do these cultural influences translate into the design and management of retirement homes ?
International experts in geriatrics, anthropology, and sociology will share their research and experiences. The goal is to provide insights, challenge traditional perceptions of ageing, and encourage a reconsideration of how we care for our seniors.
