About this workshop :

The isolation of the elderly negatively affects their quality of life and has detrimental consequences for their health. The Civic Solidarity Seniors Service aims to promote their well-being and autonomy.

Because the future is intergenerational: how is the younger generation actively engaging in serving and supporting our seniors ?

This panel discussion will bring together testimonials from young individuals who have committed themselves to the elderly, seniors benefiting from these services, and experts in community engagement. They will share their experiences, lessons learned, and discuss the impact of these initiatives on the elderly and on themselves. Through these values of intergenerational solidarity, the strength of our youth can be mobilized to support the lives of seniors and gain enriching mutual experiences.

This workshop is part of the planned program for the SilverEco & Ageing Well International Festival 2024 // Silver Citizens Summit
