About this workshop :

Falls are one of the leading causes of loss of independence among older adults. Beyond the accident itself, they trigger a chain reaction of consequences: hospitalizations, isolation, and a loss of self-confidence. Yet today’s technologies offer powerful solutions to turn this risk into an opportunity for prevention.

Smart sensors, artificial intelligence, connected devices, augmented flooring and living environments… detection and prevention tools no longer simply alert after the fact: they now anticipate, analyze, and significantly reduce the risk of falling.

This workshop will highlight the most promising innovations, real-world case studies, and future perspectives to build a true preventive ecosystem. The goal: to demonstrate how technology, when designed with and for users, becomes a key driver in securing daily life, reassuring families, and supporting healthcare professionals in their mission.
