He presented a digital ecosystem intended to lighten the burden on families faced with what he called an \u201cimpossible choice\u201d between costly institutional care and becoming full-time caregivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kwido<\/strong> offers a <strong>geriatric assessment tool to identify risks<\/strong>, followed by a <strong>personalised care plan delivered through an accessible app<\/strong>. Features include daily activity programmes, exercise videos, cognitive stimulation games, messaging and video calls with care managers, and optional sensor-based monitoring supported by artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Already deployed in Poland, Italy, Portugal, and Spain<\/strong>, the system has enabled new care models such as a Biscay-based initiative where the resources of a centre meant for 50 in-person users now support 25 on-site and 400 families at home.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sonaid &amp; Anywhere Solutions: Detecting Distress Through Sound and Environment<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nicolas Turpault<\/strong>, CEO of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sonaid.ai\/?r=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sonaid<\/a><\/strong>, followed with a joint presentation with Anywhere Solutions. He showcased a <strong>compact, sensor-filled device capable of capturing environmental indicators<\/strong>\u2014including CO\u2082 levels, temperature, light, and sound\u2014to detect changes that may signal a loss of autonomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sonaid\u2019s contribution focuses on audio analysis<\/strong>. According to Nicolas Turpault, the onboard system can <strong>identify distress based solely on vocal intonation<\/strong>, independently of language or specific spoken words. Positioned in a room or connected to existing telecare equipment, the device aims to reduce response times and extend telecare to younger older adults. <strong>One unit can cover up to 40\u201350 square meters in a care facility or home<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eforto: A Five-Minute Test to Measure Vitality Capacity<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Representing <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eforto.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eforto<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>Rudi Tielemans<\/strong> presented what he described as <strong>the first validated maximal-effort test capable of measuring \u201cvitality capacity\u201d<\/strong> as defined by the World Health Organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In under five minutes<\/strong>, the test <strong>measures maximum muscle strength and fatigability<\/strong>. It can be performed in pharmacies, clinical environments, or independently at home. Rudi Tielemans emphasized its use in predicting <strong>fragilty, clinical outcomes, and tracking physical recovery<\/strong> and <strong>inflammation<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Revita: Telemonitoring and Home Hospitalization<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Inmaculada Luengo<\/strong>, Head of R&amp;D at HI-Iberia, introduced <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/revita.hi-iberia.es\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Revita<\/a><\/strong>, a <strong>telemonitoring and home-hospitalization system<\/strong> already deployed in more than ten hospitals in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Revita offers a dual-kit approach<\/strong>: one for patients at home and another for professionals conducting home visits. The platform supports video calls, alarms, device measurements, and questionnaires, and it <strong>can be adapted to various clinical protocols<\/strong>. It is used across services including neonatology, pediatrics, geriatrics, cardiac rehabilitation, and chronic disease management.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">DigiRehab: Prioritising Fall Prevention Through Data<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The final pitch came from <strong>Niels Heuer<\/strong>, Director of <strong>DigiRehab<\/strong>. He highlighted the scale of the fall-risk problem by noting that <strong>in the Netherlands someone falls every four seconds<\/strong>, and <strong>every four minutes someone is admitted to an emergency<\/strong> room as a result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DigiRehab\u2019s<\/strong> intervention combines <strong>proven fall-prevention training<\/strong> with a new tool, Detect, which draws on data from assistive devices, home care records, and fall histories. The goal is to help providers prioritise which individuals most urgently need preventive training.
