This satisfaction also extends to their <strong>health<\/strong> (64%), <strong>financial situation<\/strong> (68%), and <strong>leisure time<\/strong> (75%).<strong> They are also proud of their life journey<\/strong>, especially regarding family and career, and have few regrets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mobility and travel among Swiss retirees: Freedom regained<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Swiss retirees remain highly mobile: <strong>80% still <a href=\"https:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/lifetime-drivers-license-the-french-exception-medical-check-up\/\">drive<\/a> regularly<\/strong>, 60% use public transportation, and <strong>two out of three traveled <\/strong>in Europe or beyond last year. The study qualifies its findings: <strong>quality of life varies significantly depending on income<\/strong>. People with fewer resources, less satisfied with their health or mobility, are more likely to forgo travel and leisure activities. Moreover, although <strong>loneliness<\/strong> is less widespread than commonly believed, <strong>31% of those aged 65\u201374 experience it occasionally<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How the Swiss view retirement: A time to invest in, not endure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Far from being a period of marginalization, the &#8220;third age&#8221; in Switzerland today is synonymous with <strong>engagement<\/strong>, <strong>autonomy<\/strong>, and a certain sense of <strong>fulfillment<\/strong>. <strong>The Swiss Life study<\/strong> reminds us that aging is not merely a series of challenges, it also opens up new horizons.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What if retirement weren\u2019t an end, but a new beginning?
