Amplifon drew on a recent French study of 140,000 patients that suggests that men and women are not equal in the face of hearing loss to provide a well-founded explanation. It emerges that the difficulties of communication between men and women from a certain age would be due to the fact that they simply hear the other\u2019s voice less well. According to the French study Amplifon, men and women are affected by an average hearing loss, located around 50dB. Amplifon wanted to understand how they were reached by analyzing the detailed audiogram of the male\/female panel concerned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/etude-femmes-hommes-audition-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-33890\" width=\"388\" height=\"218\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/etude-femmes-hommes-audition-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/etude-femmes-hommes-audition-400x225.png 400w, https:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/etude-femmes-hommes-audition-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/etude-femmes-hommes-audition.png 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 388px) 100vw, 388px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The results showed that :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>women hear the low frequencies less well <\/strong>or these allow understanding in calm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Men hear the high frequencies <\/strong>less well, so they have difficulty understanding the noise<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When couples don\u2019t get along\u2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With this French study, it is now possible to scientifically show that women hear the treble better than men. This could explain why, at a certain age, couples do not understand each other (literally) anymore: it is just that they lose each other\u2019s hearing on the frequencies of the other\u2019s speech. Person only understands if speaker raises voice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Deep : 70 to 89 decibels. <\/strong>Daily discomfort is major<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Severe : more than 90 decibels.
