{"id":31224,"date":"2018-08-07T08:21:09","date_gmt":"2018-08-07T06:21:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/?p=31224"},"modified":"2026-01-22T13:49:20","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T12:49:20","slug":"erasmus-catch-the-ball-launches-the-european-warehouse-of-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/erasmus-catch-the-ball-launches-the-european-warehouse-of-opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"Erasmus+ Catch the BALL launches The European Warehouse of Opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The European <a href=\"https:\/\/warehouseofopportunities.is\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Warehouse of Opportunities<\/a> <\/strong>was formally launched in Reykjavik on June 26th,\u00a0 at the Conference that marked the end of the <strong>Erasmus+ program Catch the BALL <\/strong>(Be Active Through Lifelong Learning).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>There are three national warehouses that at the same time are linked to the European Warehouse:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Iceland<\/li>\n<li>Lithuania<\/li>\n<li>United Kingdom<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The program offers opportunities for people who are aged 50 years and older and it aims to set an optimistic perspective on their lives. The Warehouse of Opportunities wants to show people in their fifties and older that, if they want, <strong>they can still pursuit old dreams and make them come truth<\/strong> or they can just go on new paths and find new dreams. The program is a stream of optimism and allows people over 50 to look forward to their future. Their lives are full of possibilities!<\/p>\n<p>Read also:<a href=\"http:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/illectronism-57-of-over-70s-are-not-comfortable-with-digital-formats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Illectronism: 57% of over 70s are not comfortable with digital formats<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Warehouses have been developed in cooperation with partners originally from Iceland, Lithuania and the UK. <strong>However the program at an international level is monitored by the U3A Reykjavik, University of the Third Age.<\/strong> The U3A is an association of people who are no longer in employment or who are considering leaving the labour market.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-31236 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/warehouse.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"532\" height=\"394\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/warehouse.png 532w, https:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/warehouse-300x222.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 532px) 100vw, 532px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Academy of Opportunities Handbook<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Another output of the Catch the BALL project is the <em>Academy of Opportunities Handbook<\/em><\/strong> where trainers can access materials to assist people 50+ to find more about themselves and what they want. The handbook will be soon published on an electronic format.<\/p>\n<p>Erasmus+ Catch the BALL invites all +50s to enter the warehouses and have a look to the selection of opportunities!
