The characters in this Helpage<\/a> animation experienced complex and varied life course with events, choices and policies, systems and forms of discrimination that impacted them at the time, but also long into their future.<\/p>\n

At the same time, as they grew older, their age intersected with other characteristics that meant they faced complex and unique forms of marginalisation and discrimination in older age. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The long term consequences of events, choices, and intersecting forms of discrimination and marginalisation accumulate to mean that older age is a particularly complex and diverse stage of life.<\/p>\n
