Together, we can build age-inclusive communities by breaking down barriers to participation, fostering solidarity, and creating ideal places for people to grow older.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-29596 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/france-paris-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"france-paris\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/france-paris-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/france-paris-600x399.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.silvereco.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/france-paris.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>WHO began building the GNAFCC in 2010 to encourage the rethinking of environments so that they welcome everyone \u2013 especially older people.\u00a0<strong>The Network has grown rapidly to include 500 cities and communities in 37 countries covering over 155 million people. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2016, the World Health Assembly and the G7 highlighted the importance of developing age-friendly communities.
