On International Day of Older Persons 2018, HelpAge marked the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by showcasing the achievements of older campaigners from all around the world.
HelpAge International built a responsive online “photo-wall” featuring senior citizens involved in campaigning for older people’s rights. They detail the lives, achievements, hopes and challenges faced by older campaigners, including those caught up in conflict and humanitarian crises.
HelpAge Untold Stories’ feature has been nominated for one of Bond’s International Development awards which recognizes “the inspiring humanitarian and development work of the Bond network”. HelpAge is a contender in the advocacy campaign category. The results will be announced in March 2019.
